The Swinton Park Hotel is a luxury Grade II castle set in beautiful parkland grounds at the centre of the Swinton Estate in the Yorkshire Dales. Owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s, and the ancestral seat of the Earl of Swinton, guests at the hotel enjoy a traditional, yet informal stately home experience. Rooms are furnished with antiques and family portraits, with the warmth and grandeur of a traditional English country house. There is a choice of dining options available, the traditional Samuel’s restaurant (within the hotel) and contemporary Terrace (at the Country Club), along with a rustic café a few miles away at Swinton Bivouac. Guests enjoy access to the modern Country Club and Spa which includes wellness, indoor and outdoor pools, a thermal suite with hydrotherapy pool, saunas and steam rooms, studio and gym. There is also a suite of treatment rooms and relaxation spaces, along with the Cottage for beauty treatments such as manicures and hair styling. Alongside a variety of country pursuits on Estate such as walking, fishing, pony trekking, falconry, mountain biking and clay pigeon shooting, there is also the Cookery School that runs courses for adults and children and demonstration Chef’s Tables throughout the year. Guests at the hotel also enjoy complimentary access to the lakes and gardens within the Parkland, a listed heritage landscape, including a four acre walled garden and play area. Nearby there is the charming market town of Masham, world heritage site at Fountains Abbey and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
